Dear Woman,
You changed my life. Yes I mean that with my whole heart. You showed me how to be a woman of God. You taught me to experience life with God in my heart. You pushed me to be a leader and to use my talents from God. You helped me love life on my darkest days. You gave me a safe place to open myself up and loved me always. You never judged me. You connected me with other teens just like me and gave me some of the greatest experiences of my life. You showed me so many different things about myself, others, God, and life that everything I have I owe to you.
I need you to know how much you mean to me because saying you mean the world to me is an understatement. You mean such an incredible amount to me I really cannot put it into words. I am happy to have had my path cross yours for the last four years. Getting to know you and be a part of your life is something I will forever be grateful for. I have shared your joys, your sorrows, your happiness, and your sadness and you have shared mine. You rarely held back from what you felt and always were honest with me, which is incredibly amazing to have such an honest relationship with someone. I think you understand teens more than we understand ourselves sometimes.
I am so proud to know you. I strive to be like you. I want to be as open with and connected to God as you are. Your story is incredible and I am lucky to have been able to hear it.
I am just so amazed that God blessed my life with you. Your values are so pure. Your love for God is unending and beautiful. The relationship you have with your husband is something all of your youth group kids strive to have. You are not afraid to speak in front of crowds. You have confidence, balanced with an ample amount of humility. You are filled with faith, grace, and strength. You provided teens a safe haven, even though we were there to help others it was just a place surrounded by people we knew wouldn’t judge us but rather lift us up no matter what. You helped me really connect with God again.
Thank you for asking me to go to a leadership camp and on a service trip. Thank you for allowing me to give my faith testimony to the confirmation students. Thank you for always providing some sort of solace to me. Thank you for being with me through the good times and the bad times. But mostly I want to thank you for helping to form me into the woman I am today, one of good morals, good character, and strong faith. You have changed my life for the better and I cannot thank you enough for that.
Love,
The Girl Who You Changed For Good
