It's that time of year again folks! It's back to school time! Everyone is getting back into the swing of things after a long relaxing summer. I am starting my sophomore year in college and to be honest even though it is the first week back, many of us are already stressed.

I remember last year when I first moved into college as a freshmen. It was the most terrifying experience because you are becoming independent and learning how to function without your parents being around. The first day of class my freshmen year, I went into to every class terrified about what would happen. For example, will the professor like me, is this going to be easy, I don't know anyone is my class. These are typical questions that your mind comes up with it.

Everyone tells you that college will be the best years of your life but it isn't easy.

To be honest, I am stressed out already and it is only the first week! You may think that professor won't be teaching anything since it is the first week but you are sadly mistaken. There is no such thing as syllabus week like everyone says. You will be learning something on the first day classes.

For those who are stressed, just remember that you are here for reason. Don't ever second guess yourself and think that you aren't good enough or smart enough to be here. No matter if you are a freshmen or senior, never lose sight of what you are trying to accomplish. Through your years at college, you will experience a lot of new things, maybe develop a new hobby, joining a club, or finding that group of friends who stand by you till the end. There will some hurdles along the way. Like maybe you discover that the major you choose you don't like and you want to try something new. And that's okay!

Trust me, I went through the same thing my freshmen year. I would always second guess myself and would wonder is this really what I want to be doing. You should always follow your heart. Don't change the way you are just so you can fit into the crowd. Be you and only you.

The first week of college is always the most stressful. It is a lot to take in all at once. Don't let it get the best of you. Everything will be okay, there are a lot of others that are in the same situation as you and you aren't alone. For freshmen, even though upper classmen seem intimidating, you can ask them questions or even get advice from them, we aren't as scary as it seems.

Just remember, follow your heart, it is the only compass you need to to choose happiness, this life is your message to the world, let it be extraordinary.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
