First off, hello! Welcome to this crazy time in your life that is college, and to this room that holds so many stories from my freshman year. No matter what year you are in, you will create some amazing memories in this room that I called my home for two semesters. Room 454 was not only a double that I shared with my friend, it was so much more. It was where I went when I cried about boys, where I went to celebrate with my roommate about a test I aced and where I stayed up for countless hours binge-watching a Netflix show. Your adventures in this room will be different than mine, but no matter what they are, I advise you to cherish your time in that room.
Room 454 is not just any room; it is a place you can go to skip class and nap (no I never did this), where you can sit in the middle of the room eating an entire pizza on a Friday night or maybe even become the “hang out” room on the floor. Whatever the case may be, enjoy every moment spent in that room. Before you know it, it’ll be move-out day, and you’ll have to close the door to that room for the last time, leaving behind all of the memories of your year there. Good luck with your college career, and remember to always have fun! Even if you have a speech to give the next day, or a 10-page research paper due that you’ve waited until the last minute to start, have fun, and take care of 454.
P.S. Ignore the paint chips on the walls; we totally did not leave those!
