A Letter To The Best Friends I Do Have

Hey it's me. Recently I wrote about the negative friendships in my life. So I want to take a moment and thank those people who came into my life and never left.

Dear you,

I just wanted to take a moment and thank you. I know sometimes that I can be a handful, and I wanted to make sure you knew that I appreciate all that you have done for me. So thank you. Thank you for always being on my side and lifting me up. Thank you for catching me when I fall. Thank you for telling me I'm great and making me feel like I'm worth something. Thank you for spending time with me. Thank you for accepting my weirdness.Thank you for never judging me and allowing me to just be me. Thank you for answering my 2 am phone calls when I'm having a panic attack or just need to vent. Thank you for driving hours to see me when I'm sad. Thank you for helping me with my problems and giving me advice, (even if I don't always listen to it, know that I still appreciate your help). I don't know where I'd be without you, without any of you.

For me, when I'm upset or sad, the only thing that makes me feel better is friendship. Friendship is truly the most magical thing. How two minds in two bodies can come together and vibe as one, really amazes me. These amazing friends that I have in my life taught me that I do not need a boy or materialistic things to make me feel whole. All you need, all I need, is these amazing people standing by my side who make me feel like I can take on the world.

I feel so lucky to have met you. You all have come into my life and touched my heart.

To the one who made me brave,

Watching you conquer anything life threw at you truly inspires me. You've beat so many obstacles and touched so many people's lives, all over the world. I feel honored to be your friend, so thanks for being awesome.

To the one who told me I'm great,

Being in a new environment use to scare me A LOT. I was once super shy, I only spoke if I was spoken to and I never looked people in the eyes. And then I met you. You did not know this, but at that time in my life when I met you, I was overcoming a tough obstacle. I had lost my self worth and I was super insecure. And you would tell me how great you thought I was. You showed me the true meaning of friendship, so thank you for helping me realize my worth.

To the one who gives the best advice,

It is no secret that I'm a worrier. My brain thinks of the worst scenarios and I worry and worry like crazy. But you always know what to say, even if it's not what I wanted to hear. You tell me like it is, and I truly appreciate that. You're the first person I run to when I hit an obstacle because I know you'll always be honest with me and help me figure out the best way to handle a situation. So thank you for always being there. Thank you for always saying yes when I want to hangout, and never canceling our plans. (don't worry that one time you half canceled doesn't count).

To everyone else,

Thank you for being a part of my life. Friendship has always been the one constant thing in my life that I can always count on, and thats because of how great you are. You gave friendship meaning, and I am forever grateful for that.

Always remember, never forget: Friendship is all of the things and all of the love.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
