To one of the best women I know,
You are my hero, friend and role model and I am so blessed to be able to call you my mom. I know I might not always tell you, but I appreciate everything you ever did and everything you continue to do for me. You were the first person who helped me learn, live and grow into the person I am today. So I just want to thank you for a few things that have impacted my life more than you probably know.
Thank you for always being there for me. I know that whenever I need anything no matter if it’s for some advice, or if it’s just someone to hang out with, you are only a text or call away.
Thank you for forgiving me, believing in me and never giving up on me. I know I’ve messed up countless times but you are the one who is always willing to pick up the pieces after I’ve been broken. You guide me and help me see what is right. I know that you would never abandon me or leave me to fight my struggles alone.
Thank you for showing me how life works. You are the one who taught me what it takes to be a person I’m proud to be. You take your mistakes and do what you can to make sure I don’t make the same ones. I will always look up to you. You are my #1 teacher and fan. Learning everything from reading, writing and tying my shoes to maintaining a checking account, paying bills and doing well in college, we have come a long way for sure. We can leave the cooking to gram for now.
Thank you for always supporting me. I know you understand that I am my own person with my own interests, dreams and goals. You always push me to get the most out of life and never doubt myself in the process.
Thank you for being both a mom and a dad. Having a baby young and also being a single mom couldn’t have been easy. I hope you know you are the strongest person I know and you deserve everything that is good in this world. You went back to school, worked, and somehow managed to keep me alive and happy at the same time all on your own. No matter who entered or exited our lives, it always ended up being you and me and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
Thank you for always being in the mood to spend time with me. We have fun together no matter if we are listening to music, dying as we exercise, or just watching TV. I can also always count on you to eat junk food and be lazy with me.
Thank you for always reminding me of my attitude, that in fact, I got from you.
Thank you for comforting me. When I feel low and need some encouragement, you are the first person I go to. You don't judge or criticize.
Thank you for praying for me. God knows everything we need and exactly when we need it. I know you want what’s best for me and that means so much.
Thank you for loving me unconditionally. I’m thankful we are so close and have a strong relationship. I don’t know what I would do without you and I hope you never forget that.
“I love you more than anything in the whole wide world.”
With love forever,
Your daughter
