Dear stressed out me,
Wow, you have a lot going on in your life right now. I'm still not quite sure how you're a functioning human when you're juggling school four days a week, work 5 days a week, a long distance relationship, an internship, and a social life.
Just that list of things alone has me exhausted. I know on the outside you lead people to believe you are calm, cool, and collected, but on the inside you are most likely crying 24/7. Don't let the inner you get to you. You've got this.
Don't beat yourself up if you forget a homework assignment was due at midnight on Sunday and don't realize it until Monday morning. Shit happens. In the words of Hannah Montana, "Nobody's perfect." It's okay to make mistakes just don't let them become a habit.
Yes, college is extremely important and you don't have room financially to screw it up, but don't forget to have a college experience. After all, the stress adds up quickly with everything you've got going on. You know what helps with that kind of stress? Wine. Wine takes away all your worries. Go to the store tomorrow and stock up for the busy week ahead of you. Also, clear your schedule for some friend time. They miss you and you miss them more. You are way overdue for a night of drunken laughter, pictures, and snapchat stories full of inside jokes.
I know it's hard for you to want to go out after you've spent your entire day working and all you really want to do is sleep for eternity, but the memories are worth it. You can sleep while you're dead. The main thing for you to remember is to not get too overwhelmed. Do not be that procrastinator you want to be.
Fight the urge to put things off. It'll make your life ten times easier, promise. Find time to go to the gym because talk about a stress reliever! (This is just you looking out for the stressed out you because when you're stressed chocolate never looked so good.)
It may be Fall, but Summer will be here before you know it! Another thing you really need to focus on is your sleep schedule. I know I said you can sleep when you're dead, but the perfect amount of slumber is important while you're alive. You need as much energy as you can possibly get to keep up with your hectic life.
Try to break your habit of being nocturnal. Not only will you feel less stressed, but your appearance will thank you too. When you look good you feel good. I know you are stressed out, trust me, but it's not worth it. Life is too short to be bent out of shape all the time. Stay focused, have fun, and enjoy every moment of life.
Xoxo,
You
