I want to start off by apologizing for all of the years you had to deal with me when I was at my lowest points. I gave you a hard time as well as purposely isolated myself from you. I did this and I regret it.
Mom, you were always there for me and you continue to be there for me even though I am so far away now. I think about you every day, and every time I come back to my dorm room I wish I could see you there waiting for me to come home from class. I really do miss you even though I am busy and I have new responsibilities that I chose to take on. You inspire me every day with the pictures you send me. You inspire me with your brief but powerful words that get me through the day. You never bother me with your phone calls or messages and I love that you send them to me.
I hope to make you proud of me one day when I finally have a stable career. I hope to be at least half of the person that you are. You’re an amazing person, cook, therapist and mother. I am happy that I am blessed with an amazing mother like you and I hope that you are always healthy and happy. I am immensely thankful for you. Because without you, who would I be today?
I love you.
With love,
Sam
