Society, in many ways, thinks that it can shape us. It thinks that it can take us and mold us into the perfect beings with flawless lives, with no sense of reality. Along with being perfect within ourselves, we must also have a perfect counterpart. That’s right. In order for us to be perfect to society, we must have someone to share that trait with, and share it publicly.
But some people are lucky if they have someone in their life that they can wholeheartedly call their soulmate, and mean it with every fiber in their body. Someone that knows that what they have isn’t perfect, but their bond is as strong as a lion. This person could be a friend, a relative, a boyfriend, girlfriend, spouse, pet, absolutely anything.
I am glad that I am one of those people who has found her soulmate, and I’m beyond glad that it is you.
It’s out of the ordinary when a person finds someone that they can share almost anything with, and on any level. You know that it’s real when things go from being a duty to actually feeling a deep need to want to help that person in any way shape or form. Many people will probably never understand, but you are truly one of the most important people to me. Nothing is perfect, and nothing golden can stay, but when something so important is in your life on a daily basis, you learn to grow from the negative, and to keep pushing forward with the positive. It’s life, slip ups happen. We’re young, mistakes happen. But we keep learning, and growing. Your determination never goes unnoticed, or ineffective. I know that I can be a handful sometimes, and the same vise versa, but it’s all a learning experience, and I’m humbled to know that it’s an experience shared with you.
Thank you for being the person I can turn to when I’m not able to turn to anyone else.
Thank you for hanging up when I’m half asleep and putting up a fight on the phone speaking absolutely anything but English, so I can get some rest.
Thank you for wanting to see me grow daily, while we grow together.
Thank you for pushing me to be a better me; on my worst days, and on my best.
Thank you for believing in me, and cheering me on to follow my dreams when they seem so far.
We don’t know where this road may take us, but each crack has it’s beauty somewhere nestled in-between, and I’m loving each step.
