I am going to start of by saying I love you so so much already. I don’t think these words can explain how lucky a child you are. I can write you a letter and give you a whole rant on how life works and what you are supposed to do and not do, but then again your Aunt Juliette is only 18-years-old herself…and doesn’t know exactly what life has to offer her yet. I can tell you a few things though.
First of all, you have the biggest and craziest family out there. Really—on both your mommy and daddy’s side—you got a whole lot of people who are just dying for you to come out and possibly steal you away for all eternity. We are known to be the most outgoing, courageous and goofiest family who could possibly exist. Although it could be painfully embarrassing and uncomfortable in public at times—I know this, for a fact—I can promise you, as time goes on, you won't want to trade them for the world. Me, being the baby of our family (your mommy’s side), I am extremely excited that you will be joining us and relieving your Aunt from being the baby of the clan.
Second of all, you ,my friend, are one very lucky baby. You are just shy of six-months-old at this point and you are the hottest and trendiest topic of our family!! And our family does like to talk and talk and talk… I can promise you a few things, you are so loved by everyone in this big ole’ crazy family you have. There will never, and I mean ever, be a dull moment when you won't be loved. This combined family has been waiting for a very long time for you to come along and the time is finally (almost) here!
And lastly, I have as your soon-to-be favorite Aunt have a few things for you to remember as you grow up in this big, chaotic world we live in. You, my love, need to remember that there is not one thing you can do to make your family hate you. Yes, there are times as you get older you’re going to get into trouble and make mistakes and possibly make your parents upset, but that doesn’t mean that the love stops. This world is all about individuals making mistakes and, in fact, learning from them. So, do not worry, young one. Also, this world is big and extremely diverse. I can tell you that you come from a big family who loves and is, without a doubt, accepting of everyone in this world. As you grow up and go through life, whatever phases you go through and whatever you decide for yourself, know that you have a loving and supportive backbone that will always be there for you.
Little human, please come soon. You have a lot of excited individuals ecstatic to meet you and welcome you into this family.
