Dear Hanover High's Class of 2015,
I miss you guys. I miss seeing all of your faces wandering through the halls of HHS every day. I miss fighting for a spot in the parking lot, praying I didn't have to be the a-hole to park on the curb. I miss walking into the school late with a Marylou's in hand. I miss getting to leave with all of you during humanities periods, where, let's be honest, we barely worked on our projects. I miss the last week of school where we all bonded over going off to college and getting ready to have an unforgettable summer. I miss it all.
It's crazy to me that we're all already finishing up our freshman year of college. I still remember walking on the turf at graduation, getting emotional over the fact that that was it. That was the end of our journeys in Hanover, and we were off to begin the next chapters of our lives at college, at work, or at a prep school. It's sad to think that I've barely kept in touch with any of you guys, but don't think I don't think about you all.
I sit back while I'm writing this, thinking about every face formerly in my classes. Thinking back to freshman year, I never thought the day would come where I would admit that I actually missed going to Hanover High. I always dreaded stepping foot into that school every day because the classes were so miserable and the best part about HHS was having a class with Perry.
So why not think about the good times we had as a class? Even though we weren't the class at HHS who was super tight, we never really had any drama that tore our grade apart. As a class, we got to experience high school in a brand new building all four years. We got to have Mr. Paquette as our principal our senior year, leaving us with unforgettable memories. We had unbelievable sports teams, led by amazing senior captains. Our proms were insanely fun, especially getting ready and taking pictures. Our last day of school we had Mr. Paquette arrange everyone to line up throughout the high school, giving their final goodbyes. We had the best high school experience we could've had all thanks to each other.
So, as I'm finishing up, I hope to see a good majority of you this summer. I never got the chance to get nearly as close to all of you as I wish I had, but I'm happy to have been able to say I grew up with every one of you. I hope you are all accomplishing great things either off at college, at work, at a prep school, or even if you're taking a break for a bit. I know you all have the potential to go out there and chase after what you want to do, because we all know our grade is the most outgoing and determined grade there is. But for now, I hope you guys are killing your finals and getting ready for another summer in the 02339. And hopefully I'll see some of you at a Marylou's, a concert at Xfinity, or even just at the beach.
I see pictures of you all on Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook and know you are all living it up to the best of your abilities because our grade never backed down from anything. Keep killin' it, Hanover's Class of 2015.
Love,
A member of your graduating class
