Dear 9th Grade Austin,
I read a quote once that I really thought would help you, "A gem cannot be polished without friction, nor a man without trials." - Seneca, what I understood from this was there are gonna be hard times in life but those are what's going to shape you into the man you're supposed to be.
Now I think you need some advice, stop skipping class and care more about your grades school is your future and a ticket to a good life. Also, stop over thinking everything just say yes and take risks, I have made so many mistakes over the years which I thought if I did something differently what would my life be like now? I realized I don't wanna change anything because my decisions have shaped me into who I am today and I am proud of that person.
Additionally, stop being the biggest procrastinator ever it is a terrible habit that you need to break. Next, please do your homework it doesn't take that long you're a smart kid you just need to apply yourself.
Hence, video games are not a priority make sure all your school work is done before you play. Also, hang out with your friends more memories are all you're going to have left once you finish high school.
Finally, listen to your mom I know we fight with her a lot but she really cares about you that's why she's so "overprotective."
Much love,
Austin, Age 15.
