There are so many things I want to say to your face, but I can’t. Why can’t I just tell you? Because I’ll probably slur my words and trip on a crack if I attempt. So I’ll write them down and hope you read what I’m thinking. Here is what I think of you, in so many words.
To start, I’d like to remind you of how great of an individual you are. You’re so quiet, but you always know exactly what to say when you actually do speak. You’re so driven and head strong on your future goals, which is really attractive. You care more about your friends and family than yourself, which makes you so selfless. You always think of the things to smile about, rather than to pout and dwell on the negatives in life. You are just yourself, and that’s my favorite part.
You make me feel alright with myself. Don’t get me wrong, you give me the whole zoo in the pit of my stomach. Not just butterflies, there are elephants and giraffes walking around in there when I’m with you. Thank you for always reminding me what you like about me, and just reassuring me that I’m doing life right. Not feeling like I have to change who I am around you is the best feeling you could possibly give me.
Probably the most impressive part is that we don’t change who we are around others. You aren’t afraid to give me your jacket on a cold walk home. You will hold my hand in public, and not hide it behind our backs. You will text me and make sure I made it home ok. And being there when I lost someone close to me.
Never could I ever thank you enough for changing me for the better. Making me look at life a whole lot differently, and a lot more happily. Opening up your mind, and telling me all of your secret thoughts. Not being afraid to let me in, and embrace things together. Thank you for suckering me into having a mindless and deep crush on you.
