To the ones who taught me how to fight and how to worry, sometimes I hate you but all the time I love you. There is nobody in this world I trust more than you even though you used to beat me up as a kid. We have been through it all together and I wouldn't have wanted anyone else by my side.

Even though I told on you when you were watching South Park, you were there to protect me. The first scary movie I ever watched was with you and the first black eye I ever got was because of you, or maybe because I'm anemic, whatever. I broke my arm because I was holding you on my back but the story we told mom is one I will never forget.

I remember when we wanted to make money and instead of setting up a lemonade stand, we tried to sell the condiments from our fridge. That is when I realized how innovative we were. You were there with every trip between mom and dads house during holidays and weekends, thank you.

I'm sorry for telling on you when you would sneak out and for when you broke the neighbor's window with the baseball. However, you had it coming because you would tell on me when me and my friends would spy on you and your friends playing video games. You're better for it now, it built character.

Regardless of our fights, there is no one else I would've rather begged to get to play Mario Kart with or to be a part of the chain gang in the front yard. I have to say though I would've rather gone without the fighting that led to us holding hands in the corner or being separated in the car. I try to forget those times.

I have never worried about anyone as much as I worry about you. I want you to be happy and healthy. I want you to have kids of your own and feel the love I feel with my child. I want to make you proud of your little sister, even though I'm bossy and act like a big sister. Thank you for being my biggest supporters along with the biggest pain in my butt.

I know they say as we get older we are supposed to fight less, but let's face it, I'm always going to be your controlling little sister that constantly nags you. But just remember, I will always be your biggest supporter and your best friend.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
