Ma, Mommy, Mom, Mama –
The person who has shaped and made me into the woman I am today. The person who has driven me to succeed and pushed me to go after my dreams, no matter how crazy and far off they were. The person who shows unconditional love no matter my attitude.
This one is for you.
Thank you for the many times I didn't deserve your patience. The endless days driving back and forth to competitions, practices, friends' houses, school and social events of any kind. Sure, you might have gotten sick of it, but you still constantly did it to make me happy.
Thank you for lifting me up when things weren't going my way. The times I would come home stressed about school, a problem with a friend, a boy, or just a bad day, you were always there and still are. Your simple advice and solutions never seem to fail. You always know best. Thanks for believing in me.
Secondly, I am sorry. I apologize for the times I chose friends and other events over times I could've spent with you. Remember those pre-teen years of "it's SO not cool to hang out with your mom?" Now that I'm 20 years old, I truly cherish the moments we spend together. I'm sorry for the times we fought over pointless things that I was (of course) always wrong about.
Lastly, how much I love and appreciate you.
I love you more than my words can express and I wish I said that more often. I want you to know how much I appreciate you every single day. The things that you do for me on a daily basis are not always recognized, although they most definitely should be. I hope that I can be at least half of the woman that you are when I grow up.
I'm more than thankful to have such an amazing and close relationship with my mom. You’re a pure example of strength, hard work, love and compassion, no matter the time of day. You're the person I get my sass, but also, my heart from. Thank you for being you and giving me a more than solid foundation of life. Without you, I would be absolutely no where.
So thank you to my rock, my role model, my best friend, and my biggest fan: My mother.
Love always ♥
