I never really thought much about what being a big actually meant until I took on this huge responsibility. It's more than just having super cute matching shirts and constantly having someone to talk to. The closer it gets to reveal the more I have begun to grasp the concept of what being your big actually means. Now realizing what all goes into it, I can promise you these things.
Let me just start by saying you are the sweetest girl I've ever met. You are kind hearted and have a personality that anyone would strive to have. Although you don't know who I am yet, I promise that our bond will be unbreakable and that I'll love you like you're blood. I promise to always be someone you can come to. Whether it be boy trouble or you struggling with your faith, I promise I will do my best to lift your spirits and ensure you that everything happens for a reason. I've been through some of the same things that you will encounter and I promise to help you get through all of it. I promise to push you so that you succeed to the best of your abilities. I promise to encourage you to try new things and to cheer you on with every activity that you take on. I promise to be by your side through everything that our sweet sisterhood has to offer us. Not only that but I promise to be your person even after our years at this great university are over. I promise to always answer your calls and texts no matter the hour (but please keep in mind that I take a lot of naps). I promise to always be your shoulder to cry on and to be your supplier of sappy romcoms and gallons of ice cream. I promise to always have an open seat for you in my car (for when you're feeling lazy or when you get yourself in trouble and need a lift, but hopefully that never happens). I promise to always be honest with you, no matter the subject and I promise to do my best to not hurt your feelings when things get real. I promise to be your late night food runs and spontaneous adventure partner. I can't promise to be perfect. I can't promise that I won't fail. I apologize in advance for all the times that I mess up. But, little, I promise to be the best big that I can for you. I can't wait to make countless memories with you as the years go by.
