To the two best sisters a girl can ask for,
As I sit at my computer in my room, with a combined 1,984 miles between the three of us, I’ve realized I can’t articulate what you both mean to me. There is truly nothing on this planet like having sisters. Given that this is our first time apart in 18 years, I thought it was time to thank you for all that you’ve done for me and all that you continue to do for me.
Thank you for always forgiving me. Let’s be honest, sometimes I can be a massive bitch. Even when we fight, I know you still love me. Through all of the hair-pulling, name-calling, and tackling each other to the ground, you are still my best friends. No one is better equipped to dealing with my moodiness than you, even if you aren’t trying.
Thank you for being the two funniest people in the world. No one makes me belly laugh like you do. To have two people who share the same humor as you is the most amazing thing. It’s rare that we speak and don’t laugh about something stupid within five minutes. I would kill to be sitting in my room with both of you cracking up at Family Feud or Rock of Love right now.
Thank you for answering me. Seriously. I don’t know what I would do if you didn’t answer my 2 a.m. texts. I would go insane if I didn’t speak to you two on a daily basis. We can talk about the dumbest shit for hours and be perfectly content.
Thank you for never getting sick of me. At home, we are constantly on top of each other. We hang out with the same friends and live in the same home. At school, we text and FaceTime at all hours of the day. After spending these past 18 years together, you think we would be bored of each other. However, quite the opposite is true. Nothing will ever be boring if I have the two of you by my side.
Thank you for sticking by me. Even when I’m totally in the wrong, you always have my back. Your loyalty is something that cannot be matched by other friends and family members. You support all of the ridiculous things I do wholeheartedly.
Thank you for being my role models. You may have never realized you were my role models, given that were the same age. But I truly can’t think of two other people who inspire me to better myself each and everyday. I look up to you both tremendously and wish I was more like the both of you. Your compassion and kindness cannot be matched.
Thank you for everything. Thank you for the car rides, the stories, the fights, the meals, getting in trouble, stealing each others clothes, and the laughter. You two are my tutors, my stylists, my rocks, my personal comedians, my cheerleaders, and above all, my best friends.
