Siblings are the best people a person can have in life. You’ve known them since the day you were born and still continue to make the choice to socialize with them. They’re somehow the most annoying, loving, and all around awesome group of people you’ve had the blessing of knowing your whole life. Sometimes you need to be extra thankful for everything they’ve done for you throughout your life.
Thank you for not dropping me when I was a baby. Also, thank you for not hitting me in the face or something like that the first time you met me. It means so much.
Thank you for letting me use you as a horse to ride on until I was too big to fit onto your back. When the dog wouldn’t let me ride her, I’d just come to you. It wasn’t as thrilling, but it got the job done.
Thank you for not telling me Santa wasn’t real and for making me find out on my own. Instead, we just played hide and seek throughout the house a few days before Christmas. Also, thanks for letting me wear your hats that were obviously way too big to fit my head and I looked like a rapper wearing them.
You guys made me competitive by all of the sports we played together. From shooting hoops in the front of the house to spending hours on end at the soccer fields watching each other play when we were little, it really brought out the competitiveness in me. Also, let’s never forget the wiffleball games in the front yard.
Thank you for always entertaining me. Whether it was playing Wii with me or letting me watch you guys play "Guitar Hero," it made me feel special and included. Thank you for letting me watch you play all of your instruments even though it was so loud sometimes.
Thank you for always being real with me and never sugarcoating anything. Whether it has been life advice or the simple fact my outfit made me look weird, thank you. There’s always three people in my life I know will almost never lie to me when I have a serious life question. And thank you for being examples for me in life on what to do and what not to do about everything. I learned not to hit the front door with a roller skate because your arm WILL go through it or to not slam on your bike’s brakes in front of the cranky old neighbor's house or he will come out and make you scrape the skid marks off of his sidewalk.
Most importantly, thank you for always loving me. People always have the misconception having all older brothers means they’re all overprotective. Thank you for never being overprotective and for all of the times you guys beat me up or sat on me. You made me a strong person who learned to stand up and fight for herself without needing help from anyone. You’re truly the best siblings and I’m forever blessed and thankful to have you in my life.
