Dear peanut butter,

I️t is January 2018; you are a ripe age of just 10 years old. By the time you read this, I️ can only hope that you are healthy and prospering as much as I️ wish you could.

Some of your favorite things are the color red, expressing your thoughts, and being the happy kid that you are. You love it when we explore food places and trips to the comic store. You never like to take the bus and hope I️ could pick you up every day of the week.

You have no problem calling somebody’s job to speak to either me or dad. And the best part is you have the best personality a kid could have. We can talk about anything and you will pretend like your interested but I️ know how much you care.

You have accomplished so much and you are only 10! You have finished Boy Scouts and you are going into the 6th grade. You wait for me when I get off of work and you love adventures to target to grab some Starbucks.

Right now, your obsession is playing Xbox online with friends and being the happy kid you are. I remember when you were little, and in a blink of an eye, you shot up. Where has the time gone?

Seeing you grow up over the years makes me feel so old yet so proud. You love to take pictures wherever you go and live in the moment.

Whenever we go and get food, your favorite dish is fettuccine alfredo.

Your favorite place to visit is Disney World. We try to go every year, and when we do, you know that place like the back of your hand and you enjoy every minute no matter how hot it is. We usually go in August, right before we go back to school. You love to swim and show off your skills.

As a little girl, I️ couldn’t picture life with another sibling, but you came along and changed everything for the better. At only 10 years old, you know how to make me feel better when I’m upset, you know what medicine I️ should take when I️ have a runny nose, and you know how much I love back rubs.

You are already an adult! But you have a long way to go. You have given me the responsibilities of the older sister, like catering to your food addictions and surprising you with little gifts. You are the best gift-giver yourself; when your school held holiday boutiques, I loved the precious ring you got me and the mugs you always get our parents.

One day, you’ll meet the significant other of your dreams, start a family, and the whole cycle will begin again.

I️ hope by the time you read and understand this, I️ want you to know how much your sister loves you, no matter what I’ll be doing 10 years from now.

Love, Jelly.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
