Who says that girls can't have guy best friends? They will be there for you through thick and thin. Each time a guy breaks your heart, they will cheer you up. They will be the brothers you can always count on, and they will make you feel safe.

Dear Best Guy Friends:

I remember when I met the first of you and it was in day care. Day care was quite an adventure for you and I, sitting on my chocolate pudding cup was just the start of wonderful memories to come. You were the only one who would play "house" with me and with the dolls, even though you preferred action figures. After day care, we grew apart for a bit but were reunited in middle school. You put up with the embarrassment of me having a crush on your best guy friend and you introduced me to new music, causing us to form a band that only lasted for two weeks, but hey, it was worth it. You cracked me up with our random games of punch buggy and you got me into watching wrestling, which annoyed my mother. You had to be the best Prom King our high school ever had and I cried at your graduation practice. When we went to the same college together, I always enjoyed meeting up with you in the library and discussing random writing ideas. You are my brother and I am so lucky to have you in my life. One day we will go to multiple concerts together and crowd surf side by side, and write a book together.

Here comes the best guy friend who isn't afraid to be himself and let's me be myself around him as well. Meeting you in college had to be one of the funniest moments we've ever had together. I was curious to see who moved in because everyone was talking about how awesome you are. I randomly knocked on the door and got to meet you. It was so funny how we clicked and discovered that we had a lot of the same interests such as spoken word art and writing. I always enjoyed our writing and rap sessions and you taught me a lot about life and even taught me how to be a better writer as I was teaching you how to be a spoken word artist. You are my go-to guy when I need advice on a decision I'm about to make and always crack me up. Our inside jokes will never get old and you always knew who pranked you on April Fools' Day. When you moved away, I thought it was the end. However, it made the friendship more precious and I always look forward to those random phone calls to hear updates on your life and to give you updates on mine. One day when we both get famous, we will tip waiters at fancy restaurants with $100 bills like we always said we would.

Here's to this guy who I never guessed I would be close with. When I first met you, we had nothing in common at all and you were very reserved. All it took was me sitting with you in the residence hall lounge doing homework to finally learn your name, and then the two of us rode clown car style with friends to a late night Taco Bell run. One day, you found me crying after some roommate troubles and comforted me. Our friendship grew when we exchanged numbers and we would text each other everyday. Although, one of my favorite memories with you has to be the Florida State Seminoles and the Florida Gators football game. We had the most hilarious sports Snapchat battle ever and I still say that I won, just like my team won. You always give the best hugs and give me a shoulder to cry on, as well as the best advice. Nothing will ever change and I'm always going to be here for you.

Guy best friends are there for you whenever you need them. They are loyal, caring, and will always have your back like brothers. I love every single one of you guys and I don't know what I would do without you. I know I can always count on you all and you guys can always count on me. You mean so much to me and we will always be friends forever.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
