Dear Best Friends,
As you know, the last two years of high school can be a whirlwind that will pass you by as quickly as a shooting star. College tours and applications, AP classes, scholarship searches, jobs, and last minute GPA boosting created a busy schedule for everyone. I wish I would have slowed down the pace of this time so that we could all be under the same high school roof be in the same state together again.
For me, my junior and senior year I made some of my closest friends. It sucks that we didn’t have much time together. In the short time we had I made some of my favorite memories. Some of the ones I will never forget were being under the Friday night lights, late summer nights, concerts, movie nights, bonfires, 2am Cookout runs, graduation, and crying the day one of us left for college.
Without you, I wouldn’t have become the person I am today. Each one of you encouraged me to push myself in every aspect of my life. You never tore me down, instead you built me up to become a stronger person. I could always count on you for constant encouragement and a shoulder to cry on.Thanks for telling me that everything I pursued was meaningful and pushing me to dig deeper into my faith.
There were things that we would disagree about, and sometimes we would have an occasional argument. However, our friendship only grew from these disagreements. Thank you, for keeping me inline and for questioning the questionable things I would say or do. I certainly wouldn’t have become the person I am if you were never a part of my life.
I am so proud of each of you for all of the great things you have accomplished. You all followed your dreams, chose the right school, the right job, the right sorority, or the right state of mind.
If I could go back to the last two years of high school and live them again, I would. Only because the times I had with you was all I could ever want in a best friends, but I am sure we will all make new memories. Now that we are all on our own, and living in places we never have before; I know that no matter what I can count on you no matter how much time passes by.
I’m sorry if I don’t keep in contact enough. This time at school sometimes can be distracting of what is really important. I hope you know that it is important to me is making sure that I am there for those who were always there for me.
Thank you: Grace, Lindsey, Maddie, and Jamie. Y’all really are the reason junior and senior year was a blast!
