Whether we met through a mutual friend or sat near each other in class, you were an important part of my freshman year and I am incredibly grateful that you are in my life.

Have I ever told you that you’re an amazing person? Well, now I am saying it. You have somehow managed to deal with me all year and I love you for it.

Thank you for sitting with me during meals.

I most definitely would have been the loser that ate by herself at meals if it wasn’t for you. Thanks for always answering my "dinner time?" texts, and thank you for making me eat a salad before I got ice cream.

Thank you for going on food runs with me.

Whether for dollar slice night or for a Dunkin’ run, you were always down for a walk so that I wouldn’t have to go by myself. And thank you for spending Friday nights with me, eating Chinese food and watching a movie.

Thank you for memorizing the small things.

You know my little morning routine and my little quirks. You knowing the little things—like what pushes my buttons, what makes me laugh, cry and smile—has made me realize that I have good friends I can always count on.

I jumped up and down and giggled a lot after lots of coffee or lack of sleep, and you managed not to yell at me. Instead, you laughed along and allowed the inner child in me come out.

Thank you for dealing with me when I was a serious mess.

Mental break downs. Sickness. Stress. They get the best of all of us, but thank you for always being there to tell me to calm down and relax and for giving me a hug for when I needed it the most.

Thank you for motivating me.

For dragging my butt to the gym when I didn’t want to (even though I knew I had to), for making me do my laundry even though you know how much I hate it and for making me study and do my homework on time. If it weren’t for you I would probably be sitting on my bed being unproductive.

Most of all, thank you for being an amazing person.

You gave me tough love even when I didn’t want to hear it, acted like a child with me, were patient with me and listened when I complained. I know sometimes I may be annoying but you deal with me and I love you for it.

I don’t know if you know this, but I will be emotional the day we say our final goodbyes before the summer. I see you every day, even if it is just for five minutes, and it makes me feel good knowing I have a friend to see every day. Not seeing you every day is going to be weird, but don’t worry, you’ll still get your daily dose of me.

You have made my freshman year so memorable, so here’s to you! Thank you for everything. I am looking forward to making more memories with my partners in crime.
