Dear Dad,
Thank you for everything that you do for me. I know that I am not act like appreciate everything that you do for me, but in reality I really do. I could not imagine my life without you in it. As I get older, I realize that our relationship is changing and I am grateful that we still have a close relationship. With our relationship changing, I have realized that there are things that I do not say a lot to you that I probably should.
1. I love you
No matter how old I get, I will always love you. I may say that I hate you because you may have annoyed me or made me mad, but in reality I can never stop loving you.
2. Thanks for the support.
Thank you for going to all my supporting event even when there was a million other things that you could be doing. Thanks for attending all my academic events and not being afraid to tell everyone what your daughter has accomplished in her life. All the support you give me, gives me more of a reason to continue to chase after my dreams and not to give up.
3. Giving your all to your family.
Thank you for doing everything that you could for your family. I know that some times it was hard to make sure that me and my siblings had everything that we wanted but you always seemed to make it happen. With you giving us all of your effort, you showed me that family really does matter and that family will always have your back. With all of your effort toward your family, you have shown me how I want to be when I have my own family.
4. Thank you for teaching me to be a hard worker.
Not many kids my age understand what it means to be a hard work, but thank you for making sure that I knew what was. Thank you for teaching me that if I want something nice that I need to work hard and save money to be able to afford those things. That is because as I am growing up, I am realizing more and more that nothing is handed to us and that we need to work hard to get where we want in life. Thank you for teaching me that if an obstacle comes in my way to work hard to get around the obstacle, so I can get back on the right path.
5. Your understanding means a lot.
Thank you for understanding that as I grow up that I am going to want to spend more time with my friends. Thank you for understanding that when I make a mistake that I need to learn from that mistake instead of being yelled at the whole time. Thank you for showing me that I need to understand what I want in life to make myself happy because in the end its about my happiness.
Thank you for everything that you do for me and that you continue to do for me when you do not have to. Thank you for not giving up on me when I have pushed you to your breaking point. Lastly, thank you for always loving me no matter what.
Love,
Your Child
