A Letter To My Dad That's Long Overdue

Dear Dad,

Thank you for all the things you’ve done for me; I truly appreciate it even though I may not always say it. What you do doesn’t go unnoticed, although it may seem like it does sometimes. I’ve always been a daddy’s girl, and always will be, no matter what. Even though I’m now in college and experiencing things on my own, I will always be your little girl. Here are some of the things I wanted to say thank you for.

Thank you for always believing in me, no matter what. Thank you for always being there for me to call, no matter the time of day. Thank you for always being a shoulder to cry on, even if I’m crying over the littlest things. Thank you for being my coach and number one fan, always cheering me on. Thank you for not getting mad at me when I ask you to stop picking your nails. Thank you for always blasting music and singing along with me in the car., even when you make up your own words. Thank you for being my best friend, no matter how mean I can be to you, but I promise I don’t mean it. Thank you for loving and caring for mom so much, it’s the perfect example of how a boy should treat me. Thank you for being the best dad in the entire world, and my number one guy.

I love you more than words can describe.

I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.
