What are you wearing?
Hi. It hasn’t been that long – only about four years. Yet, so much has happened.
The first thing I want to tell you is a lot of people are going to hurt you. And, it’s going to suck. But, the best thing about it is you’re going to get through with a smile on your face. And, it’s going to make you so much stronger. But, don’t be too hard on yourself. None of it is your fault.
Your friends, yeah, they’re awesome. They’re going to come and go, and then come back again. But listen, don’t let them go the first time. You’ll just regret it. They’re the best support you’ll have for the next couple years, so don’t take advantage of that. Forgive them because they will forgive you.
Also, he isn’t worth it. Honestly, no guy is. You’re going to put yourself through so much more pain than you need to. A lot of memories are going to be made, but you’re going to be so much happier with yourself after everything falls through. Sorry this is vague, but just trust me on this one.
There is one guy who comes into your life who’s definitely worth keeping, and his name is Jesus Christ. Yeah, you believe in him and stuff, but it's crazy how much your relationship with him grows in the next few years. Your life is changed so much, especially during your freshman year at college, surprisingly. You sure did take a turn for the better; I’ll give you that one.
I do want to tell you this, though: You are beautiful. You may not look like a model, and you will get acne and stretch marks, but you have to remember people are different and beautiful in their own respective way. So, when you look in your mirror, and you get upset, don’t. Remember, you’re real and you’re a girl. People have different bodies they were given. Embrace yours.
You’re going to be happy. You’re going to go on so many adventures, and you’re going to meet so many new, awesome people. You have a pretty cool life, so don’t forget that. Don’t take the small things for granted because believe it or not, those are the things that are going to make the biggest difference.
