It amazes me that a country founded on the principles of Liberty and Independence, and cautioned of the baneful effects of political parties has (d)evolved into a nation of citizens dependent on their prohibitive two-party biased government. It’s hardly a surprise to see the most popular candidates for President we have today are a mockery of democracy. Does anyone honestly believe that Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump represent the will and voice of the supposed melting pot that is the American People? These two figureheads are products of a nation who has forgotten, or are unaware, it made a Declaration of Independence. How did America get here? It doesn’t really matter, I could explain in another article, but the point of this one is to inform you of the person who can lead this misguided nation in the direction towards liberty and prosperity.
Enter Libertarian presidential candidate, Gary Johnson.
For too long, this nation has been divided between Democrats and Republicans: our politics has transformed from critical discussion and debate between open-minded, concerned citizens into a fanatical dichotomy where people are more interested in winning for their team instead of creating properly informed solutions. This is how and why we end up with conservative and liberal extremism. However, Gary Johnson aims to change this.
If you visit the Bing Political Index, click on candidates, then click on Donald Trump’s or Hillary Clinton’s face. You’ll notice that Trump is conservative on nearly all issues important to the American public, as expected, and Clinton is progressive on all issues the American public is concerned with, again, as expected.
This is the problem that plagues America: our most popular representatives are complete opposites. If we are indeed a nation split as conservative and liberal, is a single individual with an extreme leaning towards one side the ideal representative for any of us?
Of course not! Now, click on Gary Johnson’s face. (You have the tab open, right? No? No worries, click here or just look at this picture.)
Isn’t that refreshing? A candidate on both sides of the spectrum. It’s as if he listens to the American people and applies the appropriate knowledge to the respective area of concern. Spend a few minutes to listen to Gary Johnson’s pitch here from when he was on the Joe Rogan Experience in May, a popular podcast with over ten million downloads per month. You can listen to the full two-and-a-half hour conversation here and connect with the New Mexico governor through the masterful and entertaining conversation skills of Joe Rogan.
Not convinced yet? This survey provided by isidewith.com has been used by over 36 million Americans to help them identify which presidential candidate best aligns with their beliefs and values. I, of course, am encouraging you to take it and see who really represents you. Go ahead and take the quiz and then return here.
Where does Gary Johnson rank on the list for you? If he’s not ahead of Clinton or Trump, I implore you to consider what another four years of an extremist party will do to a country with a perturbed and divided peoples. Americans need to rally behind a candidate that represents the needs and desires of the American people, not themselves or their party/team. We already know that the presidential debates will include Clinton and Trump, but since we don't have to make a final decision until November, let’s show the American government the power of the people and get Johnson on stage with them!
To be included in the national debates, Johnson needs to poll at 15%, as of July 19th, 2016, according to Red State, he is at 13%. How do we get those remaining points? Start talking about him! Share this article and anything Gary Johnson! He even has his own hashtag that hasn’t sold out! #FeelTheJohnson Tag your relatives and anyone you know who wants to #DumpTrump but doesn’t want #CrookedHillary, we need Gary Johnson trending! Getting him on the debates is crucial because it will allow his platform to garner the same attention as Trump or Clinton and demonstrate that this movement to “make America sane again” is a force to be reckoned with.
