Texas Country is known for the realness and rawness that is captured in its lyrics. Artist in this genre write their music based on experience and emotion. Each song teaches you a little about life, be it tidbits or different ways to make the best memories.

Always remember to get the name of the cute girl/guy:

(And remember it!) You don't want to be that person with the deer-in-the-headlights look when you see them again and can't remember their name.

The best road trip...

EVER! If you want to see or experience the best of what the greatest state has to offer you might as well give this song a try.

As much as you get tired of your hometown and all of the same old people, it's kind of comforting.

The people you grew up with will always see you the same way, but sometimes it's nice to come home and escape everything else.

Life is hard but it's fun.

Life gets tough and sometimes it flat out sucks but there are moments that make it all worth it. I mean after all..the party never ends.

If you're from Texas be proud of it.

Being a Texan native is something to be "in your face" proud of so you might as well jam out.

It's OK to not know who you are.

This girl is tough but is still looking for her footing in the world and that's totally OK.

Sometimes you just feel like #?*! but you're not the only one.

There's really not much more of an explanation.

Thinking about your past is normal.

Everybody does it so we might as well quit shaming people for it. If you grow from your past then you prevent mistakes and learn lessons along the way.

Where you are doesn't change who you are.

Even if you feel stuck in a small town you can still chase your dreams (no cliche intended).

Your burdens, heartaches and failures aren't something to be ashamed of.

They aren't something you should push down and away but rather something you should be proud of because it still is a piece of who you are.

And lastly:

TEXAS GIRLS ARE SIMPLY THE BEST.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
