1. Family is more than just blood.
Your best friends know you better than anyone. They're the family you get to choose.

Men will break your heart left and right, but your girlfriends will always be waiting for you after with a martini in hand.
3. Follow your heart and have patience.
Just like when Big left Carrie like the idiot he is, she waited for him to come running back, and it all worked out in the end.
Carrie screams couture. Samantha is always in her sexiest attire. Miranda is always looking ready for the office. Charlotte is the soccer mom everyone wants to be. Each woman is fabulous in her own way.
5. You can have it all, but you can't do it alone.
Your best friends want you to be successful and will be there for you as you work your way up to the top.
6. Never underestimate the power of a fabulous pair of shoes.
This one speaks for itself. A fabulous pair of shoes can change your life.
7. You need to love yourself first in order to be happy.
If you can learn any lesson from any of the girls it's that loving and putting yourself before a man will lead you to happiness in life.
8. You don't have to share every belief with your best friends.
Samantha is known to be provocative and exciting, but Miranda is clearly the more rigid one, and they are still best friends. It's all about balancing each other. 
9. Don't live to please a man.
You shouldn't live to find a man to fall in love with. Live to fall in love with your own life.
10. Let go of people in your life who don't respect you.
All four girls have had relationships where they weren't treated correctly and they were strong enough to know they had to leave because they deserved better.
11. Plan all you want, but don't freak out if your plan doesn't work out.
Carrie put her heart and soul into her fabulous wedding to Big and in the end he never showed up, so she somehow had to move on with her life. You have to learn to roll with the punches.
12. It's okay to channel your inner Samantha sometimes.
Sometimes it's okay to be a little wild, you can't be Charlotte all the time.
13. Work hard to get where you want in life.
Nothing in life comes easy and if you want to get places you need to put in your all.
14. It will all work out in the end.
Look at any of these girls and what they have been through. Somehow they all ended up where they were supposed to be and with who they were supposed to be with. If you're not happy in the end its not the end.
