They call him the best player in world and he is well known by everyone in world. He might have some haters but he has the biggest fans you can ask for. Leo Messi is known by his tricks and going through defense like he was an invisible man and making soccer goals that no one thought they could do. Leo Messi has announced that he will retire from his international team this past sunday. No one could believe why he made this decision and why he gave up his dream of getting his first World Cup. When I found that he was going to retried I was shock and unbelief that he would do this. I can you some reason why he should or shouldn’t quit his international team.
There are reasons why this best player of the world wants to quit. I will give you two reasons why he should quit. My first reason why he should is that he probably thinks that is time to spend time with his family. We know that family is important to him and he would do anything to spend time with his sons. Both Barcelona and Argentina ask too much from Messi and he just couldn’t take anymore. In addition to that, he might think that he will never win a world title with Argentina.
My second reason is that Argentinian soccer team doesn’t play like a team. When you see Messi play for Barcelona you can see that he can counts on his team. You see him depend on his teammates and also you can see that they play like a team. Now, when he plays with Argentina you never noticed that everything was on his shoulders. I bet you that you never saw it until the final game of the Copa America when he just collapsed to the floor and you can see that tear in his eyes like he did everything he could for the team. Maybe he screwed up the penalty because he just had enough of it.
Now, I'll give you reasons why he shouldn’t quit the international stage. Reason number one is that he has not gotten a world cup. Messi has played in three world cups but has yet to win one. I think everyone needs to realize that you reach that moment in your career and you think to yourself is it even worth to keep going to reach that one dream. Leo Messi had reached that moment, no one saw what happened in the lockers expect his players. The only reason I think they haven’t gotten one is because the team isn’t playing like a team. When you play like a team you will see the progress and the team will get to touch that trophy.
Reason number two is that Argentina does not want him to leave and either do his fans. First of all Messi, you shouldn’t quit because you have a lot to give to Argentina and the fans. Messi, you are too young to quit because you still have enough time to get what you want. I mean come on Argentina's president Mauricio Macri made a statue in his name to make him reconsider his decision of retirement. My opinion is that he should consider his options before making a big decision.
No one can tell what he is going to do. One thing is for sure the decision he makes is one that we have to accept and not judge him for that. Leo Messi you are not done with the world of soccer. People sometimes have that moment life where they need a break and I think that is what Messi wants.
