6 Exercises You Can Do When You're Feeling Lazy

We all have those days where we just can’t bring ourselves to actually get up and go to the gym. At best, you manage to put on some comfy clothes and hope you can get a few exercises in at home. For those lazy days, here are some great exercises that will still give you results, but don’t completely wear you out.

1. Shoulder Bridge

Doing this shoulder bridge exercise is a great way to target your glutes while avoiding more effort intensive exercises like squats and lunges. There are also plenty of variations of this exercise that will allow you to either make it easier or harder depending on your fitness level.

2. Single Leg Drops

Similarly, this is an exercise with plenty of variations that enable you to adjust the exercise to fit your skill level. You can even alter it to target different muscle groups as well. Whether it should be leg day or ab day, this exercise should definitely be on your list.

3. Kneeling Leg Raises

This is another great glute-targeting exercise that won’t have you breathing hard. You can add variations like pulses to make sure you are still feeling the burn no matter what your skill level may be.

4. Inner Thigh Leg Lifts

These leg lifts are a great exercise to do while just laying down and watching tv. Whether you do these by reps or by time, it’s easy enough to keep track of while you let your favorite show distract you from the burn.

5. Calf Raises

Calf raises are a perfect exercise for when you don’t feel like working out. Whether you take it easy, find an edge to stand on, or add free weights into the mix, your legs will definitely thank you the next day.

6. Kneeling Arm and Leg Extension

This is another great one to do while watching tv. As long as you focus on squeezing your muscles and make sure you don’t let your form slip, this makes for a great, lazy day exercise.

Convincing yourself to do something is always better than doing nothing so next time you find yourself lacking the motivation to get up and go to the gym, try some of these exercises and tailor them to your fitness level. I promise you will be happy you did them!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
