Science Fiction

Summer break is almost over. Can you believe it? A new semester is coming! And, you've got about a month to get your sh*t together. It's time to mentally and physically prepare yourself for what's to come. The beloved cast of "Game of Thrones" can sure relate to your struggles during these last few weeks you have left.

1. Realizing summer flew by just like that

Where did summer go? WHERE!? It literally lasted for 10 minutes!

2. Being disappointed for not doing any of the fun stuff you planned to do

Road trips, music festivals, late-night adventures . . . Oh, how you thought you'd have the time for those.

3. Instead, working the entire break to save up

Work, work, work, work, work!

4. . . . but still somehow broke

Now, you're just sitting there trying to figure out how that's possible.

5. Leaving the f*ckboys behind who just want to waste your time

You didn't even have any time to enjoy the summer. Ugh, boys suck!

6. Getting together with your best friend and swearing you're both done with boys for the remainder of summer

"All men must die." Yeah, you right, you right!

7. 24 hours later: telling each other how you both finally found "nice" guys

Oh, wait. Did you just find THE one?

8. Thinking about going back to school

You literally just got out of school and you have to go back in a few weeks already.

9. But getting excited to reunite with the homies!!!

You already know you're all going to get into situations that would only happen when you're together.

10. Convincing yourself it's going to be a better semester

THE talk you have with yourself before every semester, but it will really be better this time (hopefully).

11. Telling everyone (and yourself) you'll be back on your bullsh*t

Show these people you're a changed person and you're ready to take on college again!

12. Doing some last minute shopping for your apartment

But, do you really need to buy THAT? Is it necessary to get those?

13. Preparing yourself for the amount of money you're going to have to spend

So, you've already done some apartment shopping, but it doesn't end there! Groceries, books, tuition, other fees, this, and that.

14. Sucking up to your parents to help you buy some of the things you need

What would you do without them (no, like honestly)?

15. Packing everything again when you just finished unpacking

Maybe it was actually a good idea not to unpack, but too late!

16. Already crying because you're going to have to do your own laundry again

Why can't clothes just self-wash?

17. And no home-cooked meals until Thanksgiving break

Back to picking between ramen and sleep for dinner!

19. Thinking about all the responsibilities you have now

Adulting sucks!

20. Moving into your apartment

But, it's time and you must go.

21. Realizing you're back on your own a.k.a your own rules again!!!

As much as you're dreading the school part, you know it's going to be all good because you can dow whatever you want again!!!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
