Six Reasons Why Kristoff Is The Best Disney Prince

Many Disney fans flock to a noble man like Prince Charming when they think of their favorite Disney Prince. However, Kristoff from Frozen does not fit the typical, princely image and stands out from the rest of these popular leading men. The ice-selling boy with shaggy-blonde hair and a warm heart has become a cherished character and tops them all due to these five reasons.

1. He's funny and goofy

Kristoff is a kid at heart and never fails to make people laugh. What other Disney prince converses with their reindeer and pouts when a free-spritied princess forbids them from entering a magnificent ice castle? Kristoff does and says a lot of funny things, so I found myself laughing at him quite frequently during the numerous times I've watched Frozen. He does have his serious moments, but his childish nature usually surfaces a few minutes later.

2. He writes cool songs

Kristoff creates songs off the top of his head, albeit most of them silly. Few Disney princes receive a chance to sing — such as Aladdin and Li Shang — but their songs generally relate to falling in love or feature a more serious mood. Kristoff's song "Reindeers are Better than People" on the other hand is completely nonsensical, improvised, and even contains background music from an uncommon instrument — the Lute.

3. He runs his own business

Ladies, there's nothing more attractive than a responsible man who can provide for their sweetheart. All the other Disney princes grew up with a pleasant lifestyle and support from other people or servants. Kristoff remains an exception, running his own ice business and roughing it in the forest. Due to his business skills, he is resourceful and can provide for his future children. Additionally, Kristoff has realized the value of hard work and determination, which will come in handy.

4. He has an amazing title

Sure, the other men have something like prince or knight before their name, but Elsa bestowed the title "Arandelle Ice Master and Deliverer" upon Kristoff. Not only is his title cool, but it's official and stands out from the generic prince charming. How awesome would it be to earn a title solely for selling ice?

5. He has a pet Reindeer

How many Disney princes actually have pets besides Kristoff — besides Aladdin's pet monkey named Abu, they all own majestic steeds if they even take care of an animal. Sven even tops these equine animals since he can communicate with Kristoff without using actual words and shares an undescribable bond with him. In addition, Sven is evidently smarter than a lot of other animals since he knows what true love is, even when other humans around him do not.

6. He was raised by trolls

The typical prince grows up lavishly in a grand palace, but Kristoff experienced the wilder side of life in a forest with the company of magical creatures who recognized him as one of their own. Growing up with trolls who sing silly songs and embrace the idea of falling in love is a perfect, incubating environment for a respectful yet fun-loving prince. It's no surprise that Kristoff displays generosity and selflessness in comparison to the evil Hans, who deceives others and does not know the definition of fun.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
