What "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" Taught Me About Fame

Being home for the summer, I really wanted to make the most of my time. I wanted to invest in something important, so I decided to re-download Kim Kardashian: Hollywood. I've already played once before and been an A-Lister, but deleted it because my playing habits were concerning to my parents. Anyway, I wanted to relive my journey to the top and I happened to pick up some important moral lessons along the way.

1. FaceTiming is the best way to catch up after a long time away!

2. You make enemies fairly quickly in Hollywood.

3. Even in Hollywood, you've got to be true to yourself and not get wrapped up in drama.

I took the high road, because I wanted to be a good role model for my fans.

4. You can be risky in your fashion choices.

I can try out different hairstyles, eye colors, and outfits. I can be my true self. This is me, mom.

5. Sometimes, the media just doesn't get your style.

Black is always in style, Ray.

6. Running into people wearing the same thing as you is still awkward. Even if you wore it best.

Also, don't throw shade at me, Aaliyah.

7. Boys can be sweethearts!

8. Some people don't respond well to fame.

9. Footises on dates is cute!

10. Relationships can escalate really quickly if you're not careful.

11. When haters try to get you down, great friends are always there to lift you back up.

Thanks, KoKo.

12. Even though they become one of your closest friends, your publicist can get too personal.

13. It takes a lot to turn up your jam, but it's SO worth it.

14. Apparently, if someone says I love you, you have to say it back. There is no other choice.

15. You have to decide about forever, and it happens so fast.

16. You get to have the magical wedding of your dreams without the stress of planning it all!

17. Maintaining a relationship under the scrutiny of the public eye is something you'll never get used to.

18. Kim never fails to be a great and supportive friend.

19. Modeling is a cutthroat business.

20. Balancing work and personal life is tough, and sometimes love isn't enough. But there are always other fish in the sea!

If Kim K Hollywood taught me anything, it's to work hard and dream big!

It's a tough life, but being an A-lister is worth it.

Join KIM KARDASHIAN on a red carpet adventure in Kim Kardashian: Hollywood! Create your own aspiring celebrity and rise to fame and fortune!

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?
