What would you rather be a Kim Kardashian or a Hillary Clinton?

Would you rather be a Kanye West or Barack Obama?

Our contemporary/modern cultures are obsessed with fame, riches, power, influence and a legacy. After all, who wants to be forgotten? In an examination, all these obsessions are a part of this product sold to us. We call them aspirations, dreams (the American Dream), greatness, etc. This product can be summarized into one common idea: being someone of importance.

I give you a small-scale reflection on how to be the epitome of our ego-maniacal cultures. But who would you rather be, Kanye West or Barack Obama? Kim Kardashian or Hillary Clinton? If you're struggling with your choice, consider these 6 riddles.

  1. Ultimate Freedom Of Speech VS. Political Correctness: Would you stomp off a stage and snatch a Trophy/award from its winner just because you think your opinion should be voiced(on who “really” deserves the trophy):“ I'ma let you finish but beyonce had one of the best videos of all time- KANYE WEST” . Or would you rather sit in a room filled with people with dissimilar opinions “Barack Obama and the Congress”? (While you listen and are trying to voice your opinion?)
  2. Egocentric vs. Modest/Humble: Would you choose to address all media and other questioning inquiries on your actions and choices with the motto: “You can’t tell me nothing- KANYE WEST ” or would you navigate your way with intensive calculations through every other question and inquiry, just like a politician''It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is.- BILL CLINTON''
  3. Influence vs. Power: Would you choose to be highly influential or extremely powerful. Would you be a Rothschild/Rockefeller or a Kanye West/Bob Marley? How many people wear Rastafari colors, thanks to Bob Marley? How many people really know a Rockefeller/Rothschild? Or for better wording Lames try to tell me, "Cut the wild n' out, out” but who the f*ck is you reaching?”- KANYE WEST. What’s really power anyway fear or influence?
  4. Non-Conformist vs. Formalist: This seem to be a judgemental one. Do you choose to follow your heart? “My childlike creativity, purity, and honesty is honestly being crowded by these grown thoughts”- KANYE WEST. Do you choose to go with societal laws, ideologies, philosophies, Political parties, etc? Do you choose your truth or other people’s truth? Do you choose negotiations or your only way
  5. Assertive vs Thoughtful: Would you let a whole conversation span out while you analyse it for a of a refined assertion or would you rather constantly give your raw state of mind? “What’s the point of thinking- KANYE WEST”
  1. Field-Master or Multi-Tasker: Do you wish to dedicate your life to a craft? Or do you want to span out and do all different things? Do you want to be an Artisan or an Artist
Choices come with consequences and the trick is there is no engraved law saying you choose one way to believe, what to be, etc. You could be both. You could be everything! A scholar, an artist, a philosopher, an entrepreneur. Be tolerant and not a bigot. Educate yourself and find your balances!

Personally, my favorite philosopher is KANYE WEST: “I always felt like I could do anything. That’s the main thing people are controlled by! Thoughts- their perception of themselves! They're slowed down by their perception of themselves. If you're taught you can’t do anything, you won’t do anything. I was taught I could do everything. And I'm Kanye West at age 36.”

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
