As many of you know, the snacks that are sold for kids are so much more fun and tasty than the snacks you see adults eating. Maybe I don't want to grow up and branch out if it means giving up yummy foods from my childhood. If Trix are for kids, I want to be a kid! Here are some of the many beloved and important foods you ate as a child, and probably still eat to this day (I know I do).
1. Go-Gurt.
Go-Gurt is so important. It's literally yogurt to go. Also, Cool Cotton Candy totally beats the Greek yogurt in your fridge that you've been convincing yourself is good. And have you ever frozen these things? What a good alternative for ice cream or whatnot.
2. Applesauce.
You know I'm right, and you don't even have an argument. Applesauce, these days, has so many flavors and options that I actually get very excited when I get to try a new one. Although I usually stick to my Snack and Go ones that come in the squeeze pouches. I get the big box and sometimes eat three a day with no shame.
3. String cheese.
String cheese is so much more fun than the block cheese. But, to all of you who bite straight into your string cheese, you are doing life wrong.
4. Danimals.
Drinkable yogurt. Need I say more?
5. Capri-sun.
If you're at a picnic and someone offers you a soda or a Capri-sun, you take the Capri-sun! If you don't, well congratulations, you're a big kid. I will enjoy the next 20 seconds that I am drinking holy goodness from this small pouch.
6. Gummies and Gushers.
Who could ever in their life turn down a pack of gummies? Please, I would like to know.
7. Fruit Roll-Ups, a.k.a. Fruit By The Foot.
I know these are similar to Gummies, but they definitely deserve their own number. I do not know what on this earth is more exciting than stuffing flattened Gummy Rolls in my mouth.
8. Animal Crackers.
Don't pretend like you don't still love animal crackers and check to see which animal it is you're eating before you put it in your mouth. We all do it.
9. Chocolate Pudding Cups.
Yes, I had to specify, because chocolate pudding cups are on another level. Don't even compare them to the vanilla ones.
If you still eat any of these nine things, you're automatically 28 times cooler than the people who don't. I bet all of you are on your way to Walmart, right now, to get at least one of these things, and I just want to tell you that there is no shame in that. I am right there with you. Hold onto your childhood and let your taste buds have some fun once in a while. Eat your chocolate covered bananas and swirly Trix yogurts! Snacking should be something to look forward to.
