One of my favorite things to do when I am feeling down is watch cute and funny videos. Some of my favorite videos to watch, especially lately, are videos from Kid President. These videos always seem to brighten my day and also give me good advice when I need it. I thought I would share some of my favorite quotes from Kid President in hopes of brightening your day.
1. When you seem to be doing everything right but everything is going wrong:
Sometimes life just does not seem to go your way. And no matter how hard you try it won't get any better. When this happens to you, just remember these quotes from Kid President:
"Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the road less traveled...AND IT HURT MAN! Rocks...thorns....not cool Robert Frost!"
"Life is tough, but so are you."
"Some days you will get ice cream, and some days you won't."
"Science: You're here, you take up space, you MATTER."
2. When you need inspiration to be awesome:
Sometimes, you just need to be reminded to be awesome. The world can get pretty repetitive and boring sometimes, but that does not mean that you should stop making it more awesome by being you! When you need a reminder to do this think of these quotes:
"It's everybody's duty to do good, and give the world a reason to dance."
"The world needs you, stop being boring."
"Even if hate has a bullhorn, love is louder!"
"Life is school and you gotta show up."
3. When you need a reminder to take a step back and enjoy life:
I don't know about you, but I need to be reminded a lot to just enjoy life instead of running through it going through the motions. Luckily for me (and possibly for you), Kid President has some pretty awesome advice about that:
"Take brain pictures."
"There's plenty of reasons to dance, you just have to look for them."
"Try this...take a breath. Isn't that amazing? It's called breathing, and you're gonna do it a lot. And nobody knows exactly how much. So enjoy it."
4. When other people need a pep talk:
High-fives are the best! I think so, and Kid President agrees. Sometimes people are having a bad or not so awesome day and they need a pick-me-up. When you need some advice on how to help them or what to say to them when they are feeling down, keep these in your back pocket:
"Hello person I've never met before. Here's a high-five."
"You should give people high fives just for getting out of bed."
"Just treat everybody like it is their birthday."
"What are you teaching the world?"
