When the ball dropped at 12 am, announcing New Years, many felt inspired, so inspired in fact that they made drunken promises to themselves that they just knew they'd keep! Well, its been less than two weeks since then and many have already abandoned their goals as they realized it was too much work and it was easier just to stay their same uninspired person that they have been before the truly unimportant milestone in our made-up concept. New Years Eve was like any other day, honestly. The only difference is that we all generally accept that it marks a new year, so we all celebrate it. If you are not feeling motivated, hear me out.
1. Your NYE resolution is the exact same thing as waking up one day and saying you don't like a certain thing about yourself and being inspired to change it.
2. Staying away from social media helps. Many people give up and that convinces you that it is ok to give up. Don't follow the herd.
3. The reason you took up the goal is more important than the goal itself. Remember why you wanted to do that certain thing.
4. By default, everyone is, to a certain extent, lazy. People who succeed are the ones who go against the basic instinct to do nothing.
5. Write down your progress. This will help you to look back and see where you came from.
