We have all felt, unfortunately at one point or another, the routine dullness that comes from a typical week or weekend in Tallahassee. It's why we're always searching for something more, something better. There are certainly ways to give back to our Tallahassee community, but there is only one way to do it with Kappa Delta. Look no further than here:
Can you believe what you're seeing? That's right - kids like you running around in human-sized plastic blow up hamster balls playing soccer. What's the catch? It's totally harmless. You're surrounded by a marshmallow of air. The reason you've probably never seen a sorority philanthropy like this is because it's never been done - except by Kappa Delta at Florida State. Last year, in its first ever "Bump It Like Beckham", Kappa Delta raised over $28,000 for The Children's Home Society of Tallahassee, a local charity. So you can have fun while also feeling good about it. 100% of the proceeds from the event are donated to the cause.
Not only can you feel good, you can look good. Purchase one of these rare KD soccer jerseys at the event to further your contribution to the cause.
If the gracious charity and stylish jerseys haven't already convinced you, here's everything else you need to know to sign up:
Register your team of 4 players through any KD sister by Sunday, October 18th. The cost is $60 per team, or $15 per person. Spots are on a first-come, first-serve basis, so don't miss out! The actual event will take place on Sunday, October 25th at the FSU main campus's old IM Fields, time TBD.
*If you are already planning on attending Zeta Tau Alpha's Race to Live that same morning, fear not, your team's game times will be scheduled accordingly.*
So what's holding you back? We'll see you on October 25th for some good old fashioned bubble bumping.
