Kanye West's Life of Pablo tour in Indianapolis

Yeezy changed the way I view a performance.

At 8:00 PM on August 25th, I was two blocks away from Bankers Life Fieldhouse in downtown Indianapolis. While many people around me were obliviously wandering around playing Pokemon Go!, I was hurriedly walking towards the venue. It was hard to contain my excitement knowing that I would soon be in the presence of one of my idols: Kanye West.

"Please do not push! Kayne will start once everyone gets into the building." A lady said over a speaker pointed in the direction of the masses of Yeezy fans packing like sardines into the front door of the Pacers home court.

I was going through security when I heard the first bass drop signaling that he was on the stage. My heart also dropped.

Kanye has always been someone who fascinates me. You either love Kanye or you hate Kayne. He is a very polarizing figure. It was nice to be jam packed in Indianapolis with people who share my love for him.

Think about it like this, Kanye is himself. That is what entices me, and many other Ye fans. What makes Kanye such a unique visionary and idol?

He rolls up in clothes like these:

He says outrageous things and dresses differently that what we'd expect, yet we still love him. So much so that it took over an hour to get his fan into his venue. Why?

It is like I said before, Kanye is himself. He embodies the true meaning of what we search for in an entertainer. He does exactly what he wants when he wants it and people can not get enough. I drove and hour and waited in line for an hour after I paid a lot of money just to see him for a couple of hours. Yet, I feel like I owe him after how amazing the performance was.

Yes, I understand Kanye is outrageous. Yes, I understand you may not care for him or his music. What you can do, though, is appreciate what he has accomplished.

He has heard no a lot in his life. He has been made fun of and counted out more times than I can count. Yet, he is still going. That confidence and perseverance is beyond admirable. Some people are turned off by how he goes about showing it, but I love it.

He knows who he is and he won't change. There is something very important that can be learned from that. We all need a little bit of Kanye in us. We need that unaltered confidence in ourselves that let our talents be exposed. We need to believe in ourselves. We need to love ourselves like Kanye loves Kanye.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
