Unconventional things that happen on the Las Vegas Strip.

Las Vegas has many stereotypes and any local who has ever gone out of state for college, camp, or a school trip knows that most of the ideas that people have about Las Vegas, and the people who live there, are a little ridiculous. That's not to say that the Las Vegas Strip isn't crazy in it's own wonderful and unique way, however. Here are some #JustVegasThings that anyone who's lived here has probably experienced on The Strip.

1. You were handed "Girls To Your Room" nudity cards on The Strip before you finished middle school.

If you were on a school field trip to The Shark Reef, your teacher tried hard to hide how horrified he or she was while it was happening.

2. You never have to worry if you're dressed "appropriately" for an event, as that word doesn't exist here.

Wearing swimsuits to five-star restaurants and ball gowns to In-N-Out are all within the norm.

3. You play "count the brides" whenever you're walking through a casino.

My family's record in one night is eight brides.

4. You see Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Maseratis casually driving around The Strip.

Where do they all come from?

5. You don't have to drive all the way to Anaheim to see your favorite Disney characters.

You can, but probably don't, go to the Bellagio to take a photo with a knockoff Mickey Mouse.

6. You have to worry more about what time something opens, rather than what time it closes.

7. Watching the tourists is one of your favorite pastimes.

My personal favorite was a man in a chicken mask who was singing out of the sun roof of a limo.

8. You're just getting used to driving through all of the neon lights on Las Vegas Boulevard without being distracted or momentarily blinded.

9. You walk past unfathomably expensive stores in the hotels and wonder how they stay open.

10. You've been to New York, Paris, Egypt, and Venice, all in one night.

You probably walked the distance between them.

11. It seemed like everyone you knew got EDC tickets for their 18th birthday.

Whether or not you did is an entirely different story.

12. You wonder how many people have actually finished those foot-long and yard-long slushy drinks.

My guess is not many.

Whether you're one of those locals who can't wait to leave and never look back or one who has come to love their quirky hometown, we've all had memorable experiences on The Strip.

Here's to many more!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Whether you met your new love interest online, through mutual friends, or another way entirely, you'll definitely want to know what you're getting into. I mean, really, what's the point in entering a relationship with someone if you don't know whether or not you're compatible on a very basic level?

Consider these 21 questions to ask in the talking stage when getting to know that new guy or girl you just started talking to:

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
