8 Awesome Places To Spend Your 21st

Turning 21 is a rite of passage into the real world of being an actual human being. Now you can vote and buy alcohol, and you are pretty much a real life adult. While your 21st will probably just be you drowning in tequila somewhere with your friends, it is also fun to imagine all of the cool cities you would want to spend it in. So here are some of the places that would be ideal to spend your 21st birthday.

1. Your College Town

As boring as it sounds, wouldn't you love to finally be actually banded over in some of your favorite bars? Plus all of your friends can be there to celebrate and you can participate in all of the traditions.

2. New York City, New York

I can't think of a better place to spend your 21st birthday than the city that never sleeps. You can dress fancy and act less than fancy. You are sure to find a good bar and some cheap, delicious food afterwards.

3. New Orleans, Louisiana

Although Bourbon Street doesn't exactly smell like Bourbon and closed-toed shoes are an absolute necessity here, this city surely knows how to party. With bars lining the streets, it's impossible not to have a good time. Plus, the food is phenomenal, so those late-night drunk cravings will be satisfied.

4. Las Vegas, Nevada

Even though "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" applies, just make sure you don't marry a stripper, get a face tattoo, or end up with a tiger in your hotel room. Mike Tyson won't be too happy about it. And make sure all of your friends stay together, because the hangover will not be pretty.

5. Savannah, Georgia

Savannah is the perfect place for a 21st Birthday. With bars located all up and down River Street, it makes it easy to avoid taxis and to just walk from bar to bar. Not to mention, you can take a Beer Pedal Tour with your friends. But don't forget to stop into Wet Willie's, which serves alcoholic slushies in a variety of flavors.

6. Nashville, Tennessee

The music city is bound to be a great place to be for a 21st birthday. All of the bars have amazing live music that you can enjoy all night long while also going a cold one. The combination, along with your best pair of cowboy boots, will serve for an eventful and unforgettable evening.

7. The Florida Keys

What better way to spend your 21st than surrounded by crystal blue water, palm trees, and margaritas? You'll pretty much never want to go home ever again. Not to mention that it is usually expected to day-drink there as well. You can always start the party early.

8. That hometown bar that always checked your ID

I mean, really... Wouldn't it be great to just waltz into that bar or restaurant and say "ID me now!" Nothing is more satisfying than being right.

Even though your 21st is allowed to be a little crazy, always make sure you are being safe, and always remember to never drink and drive.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
