As a teenager, our metabolisms are through the roof. Some more than others, but they are drastically different than the metabolism we will have when we are older. But why does eating unhealthy foods have to be the norm for teenagers?
Just because I like eating healthy doesn't mean I don't enjoy life. I just choose to provide my body with nutrients that will support my health rather than hurt it. Theres nothing wrong with that, right?
"Let me guess, you're gonna order another salad?" why yes I am, and I'm gonna enjoy that salad too. It's my body and I'm the one that controls what I put in it. Yes a taco bell quesadilla would be bomb, or a big thick milkshake would taste amazing.. but that's only getting in the way of my determination to live a healthier life. So please stop judging me for saying no to temptation, even when you don't.
Yes, I will indulge in my favorite unhealthy items every once in a while, but just because I don't constantly indulge like you may do, doesn't mean that I should be viewed as a "health freak".
"Life's too short to worry about what you eat" — my goals are too important to let temptation get in the way. Let me live my life and I won't judge you by the way you live yours.
