This past week was the start of April, which means pranks upon pranks! A lot of companies took advantage of their avid true customers and fans, by pranking them! A company loved by all, Netflix was among these groups! On the morning of April 1, the company released a faux movie trailer, entitled "Stamos: A Human, Being."
Many fans posted on the Netflix forums and Facebook pages, exclaiming how excited they are! The staff in charge of the social media accounts played along the entire day!
Viewer's timelines and recommendations changed as well, to up the prank to its full potential!
It seems as though many people were fooled! However, Netflix didn't break down! They were on top of constant responses, both clever and witty.
Friday morning, a video was "leaked" to People magazine, showing the actor having a meltdown at the company's office. And of course, the fan's responded!
But the jig is up! People admitted they were in on the joke, with one of their favorite stars!
"After I gave Ted some guidance, Netflix now has a better understanding of the Stamos Brand," Stamos joked in a statement exclusively to PEOPLE. "And I'm thrilled to say we've locked in a sequel documentary, "Prince of Diamonds: The Many Facets of John Stamos."
