The Investigation Into Hillary Clinton: Well Done Or Pushed Under The Rug?

This past week, our media has been filled with tragic headlines. As our country begins a shift of leaders, we begin to get a sense as to how each presidential nominee reacts to these given situations. Both nominees stand out for various reasons, but one nominee in particular is standing out more than the other, and not for the reasons one would hope. Lately, I have been greatly questioning the presidential nominees and find that I am not the only one. Although I believe Donald Trump to be narcissistic and bigoted, I have also found negative attributes I feel strongly about regarding Hillary Clinton and her snake-like behavior.

Hillary Clinton’s actions had started to make her look rather suspicious some time ago as reports came about declaring the misuse of her private email while acting as our Secretary of State. This misuse included sending and receiving classified documents through her private email, which in itself began to raise eyebrows. To this day these accusations make me question what she is hiding. Her rather untrustworthy behavior landed her under investigation by the FBI and left our nation curious as to what the outcome of this investigation would be. The investigation wrapped up earlier this past week with a press conference at The House of Representatives that was led by FBI Director James Comey.

The FBI came to a very shocking conclusion. This conclusion stated that she will not be put under further investigation and will not be indicted for misusing her private email server. I stared at the TV in disbelief as Director Comey released his statement. It all seemed so scripted. In sorts, it is, but he seemed terrified to defend his decision. Some House members were calm while interviewing him while others were stern and confused, making sure that Comey knew exactly how they felt. How could such a high-profile leader like Clinton do something so careless? According to Comey, his agents found 110 emails on Clinton’s private server that were marked classified, but Hillary Clinton still isn’t receiving punishment for her actions. Rumor has it that these emails were discussing the deaths of American soldiers and office officials in Benghazi, Libya. To that I ask, what is she hiding and how did she get away with it while it is reported that her colleagues who were also on the email chain will face harsher circumstances?

So many questions were running through my head. The one that really stood out to me was one that I feel most American citizens are asking themselves. “Is Hillary Clinton really someone we want representing the American people?” I understand that she will (hopefully) use persistence on important matters, like gun control, but it makes me quite uneasy knowing that a person who has the potential of being our next president can get away with something so substantial and sketchy! To be honest, both candidates have made me extremely uneasy as this election comes to a close, yet both candidates regardless of their actions have made it this far. Only time will tell what is in store for our country.

Here's a bit of good news, U.S. State restarted the investigation into the email probe. Maybe Hillary Clinton will get what she deserves?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
