25 Things Worth Getting Off Of Your Couch And Improving Your Mood

1. Go for a walk or run, put on some music and dance, or go do a workout. Just move. Even some quick jumping jacks will positively affect your mood.

2. Take a long, hot shower with your favorite music on, and give your bathroom a nice concert.

3. Go for a long drive with the windows down, and discover some new parts of your town.

4. Make plans with a friend or family member, so you have something to look forward to soon.

5.Write about whatever anxieties or worries or sadness you have. Sometimes just venting, even to yourself, and the physical act of writing can help ease your mind.

6. Deep condition your hair, and enjoy your refreshed, moisturized locks.

7. Watch an episode of your favorite tv show or watch your favorite movie.

8. Read a favorite passage from your favorite book.

9. Do your hair and makeup. Sometimes looking good is half the work of feeling good (or better).

10. Spend time doing things for others, even if it something as simple as donating money or your time to volunteer. There is nothing like being reminded of your blessings like helping the less fortunate.

11. Treat yourself to a sugary treat like a slice of cake or a nice, creamy milkshake.

12. Eat a whole pizza.

13. Tidy up your room. The simple act of cleaning is so cleansing.

14. Stretch and feel your joints crack.

15. Take some deep (DEEP!) breaths until you feel relaxed.

16. Do some online shopping. (Don’t actually buy stuff unless you have some spare money to do so. I usually just add a few items to my wishlist.)

17. Clean your sheets, and sink into some fresh and warm sheets.

18. Use a face mask.

19. Take a hot bubble bath, and throw in a bath bomb.

20. Call someone you love, and vent to them for a while.

21. Go down the rabbit hole that is Wikipedia articles or Odyssey articles, and enjoy some new knowledge.

22. Make some food. Cooking, even a simple dish, is so relaxing.

23. Drink some ice cold water.

24. Treat yourself to something nice, even if it is buying something as simple as new pens.

25. Remember: this too shall pass. You have survived everything in your life up to this point, and although things aren’t the best right now, things will get better if you keep getting out of bed every day and doing your thing.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
