I hope by now you all have realized how much I love reading and writing. When I read, I have to write. Both have been such a great passion of mine ever since I was just a little girl. I don't know where I would be without my books and my writings. The novels that I read have been so inspirational and have helped me so much. These three novels are the three most inspirational novels that have helped me with my writing. They have given me ideas to write in many different ways.
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
If you read my article titled "Inspirational Authors", I talked about one of my favorite authors, Jane Austen. Pride and Prejudice is her novel. A novel that has a special place in my heart. Not only does it talk of how women not living up to society's expectations but it also disregards the stereotype of love-at-first-sight. Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzgerald Darcy are two people that hate each other and somehow are thrown into a turmoil that brings them together in love. The novel's inspired me to write on a romance that can take time and healing instead of making two characters instantly fall in love at first glance.
The Princess by Lori Wick
I've grown up in a Christian family, going to church every Sundays. I was taught that if I were to start dating, he would have to be a Christian as well. Someone that could help me with God and I with him. The Princess taught me to seek God before seeking a guy. Just like Pride and Prejudice, Prince Nikolai and Shelby Parker are two people that were arranged together in a marriage, not knowing each other but soon began to love one another. The Princess inspired me to not be afraid of including God into my writings. I don't have to be afraid to include Christianity into my work.
Blue Bloods (novel series) by Melissa de la Cruz
If you haven't learned already, I tell you again. I love anything supernatural, especially anything with vampires. Blue Bloods, a series that I started the beginning of my freshman year of high school, has continued on to be a favorite series of mine. It has widened my knowledge on what I knew about vampires already. Twilight actually ruined my fantasy on vampires. I harbored such a deep hatred for the vampires in that novel. It brought such disappointment to me. Melissa de la Cruz brought that vampire spark back up. She portrayed vampires a certain away which inspired me to use that into my writings. My Beloved on Wattpad, a novel that I am starting, is actually inspired from Blue Bloods.
