Mushu, "We're gonna die! We're gonna die! We're definitely gonna die! No way we survive this! Death is coming!"

I don't know about you but the stress of midterms before Spring Break popping up like Hunny Buns out of nowhere has me in need of a laugh. Lucky for me Mulan is only 88 minutes and on Netflix, so here are some of everyone's favorite inspirational Mulan quotes to get us through this next week and into the Spring Break we deserve.

I like to say this one in my best scratchy old dad voice. I mean its the perfect pick me up when you realize you have that one group project, a presentation, and a surprise quiz, all in the same day.

I think this every time I enter the library, start my computer, or crack a book. Its just so versatile. I mean usually I start taking gummy bear breaks but we all need those.

For a song all about men, this is one that a lot of women love, myself included. Why? Well, I think it's because at its core the song is less about actual masculinity and more about being a badass, which is genderless. I like to watch the Be a Man video clip during midterms and finals, and no lie, it gets me teary eyed. If Mulan can train all day then I can finish my ten-page papers. I've got the raging fire, typhoon, and mystery down, but I alas, I will never be as swift as a coursing river.

This is your chance to prove yourself! College midterms are an opportunity to prove you've been listening and studying hard in class and out of class, putting real thought into your work, whether it is a major related or elective class. The cricket is optional.

Just like a single grain of rice tips the scales, an extra hour quizzing yourself over important terms or doing a final edit on your paper can mean the difference between an A and a B. So when you're ready to call it a night and go goof off, set your timer and study smart for just one more hour.

I mean, the last thing we want is dishonor on us. Or our family. And especially not our cows.

May the odds be ever in your favor, and enjoy Spring Break responsibily.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
