Whether you have a lavish vacation planned, or you're going to kick it back at home, everyone looks forward to the that one, sweet week called Spring Break. Finally, it's approaching, and the one thing the break promises students is relaxation. The week before, however, contrasts with Spring Break completely, especially if you're a girl in the 21st century, in college. We go through a different mix of emotions, for a different number of reasons. Here are examples of some of the thoughts and feelings we modern-day college gals go through during the Pre-Spring Break week.
1. When you know you need to save for Spring Break but you find so many cute things in Target.
Target, why must you always be so tempting?
2. When you're trying on bathing suits and realize you have no time left to get that Spring Break body you wanted.
I worked out a couple times since winter break, I had a salad once a week, I should definitely look like a beach babe.
3. When your friend drags you to the gym for last minute work outs.
This isn't going to do anything, so why are we bothering when we both know all we want is a burger and a large fry.
4. When your professors try to introduce new material in class.
I'll take the notes, sure, but no one is really paying attention right now and this lesson will be forgotten next week.
5. When you realize how many papers there are to be done and tests to be taken in just these five days.
The professors definitely do this on purpose just to laugh at our pain.
6. When people ask what your Spring Break plans are and you still don't know.
There's a lot of options, not a lot of time, and at this point, I'm just gonna wing it.
7. And afterwards, when you have to listen to people talk about how cool their plans are.
I know that procrastinating about this was my fault, but seriously, don't brag.
8. When you find out your best friends from home have the same Spring Break as you.
This makes the option of "home" sound even better.
9. When you're trying to decide what to pack.
I need to be prepared for any and every kind of situation, even if that means my suitcase weighs more than I do.
10. When you take a moment to realize just how close Spring Break is!!!!!!
So, so close, I can almost taste it.
11. ...But then you realize that all these things have happened, it's only Wednesday, and Spring Break is still not here.
Where are you Spring Break, why can't I find you? Why must you be so far away?
Although this week may drain you, and although you may not do anything too exciting over the break, at least you made it through, and now it's time to kick back, relax, and simply enjoy.
