Every friend group has an indecisive friend; it's inevitable. All plans are always up in the air because no one can ever decide what to do. Something as simple as getting dressed in the morning could take a good hour and trying to choose what you want for lunch is just a whole other story that we just don't have time for. So whether it's you or your friend who's indecisive, there's no denying that:
Making plans is impossible.
Although you may have texted your friend five hours earlier, they finally just decided that they can hang out today.
Once you make plans, deciding on what to do could take hours.
Finally your friend agreed to put some clothes on and leave the house, but now picking between getting coffee or ice cream will take another three hours. Guess you shouldn't start the car yet...
The answer for everything is “I don’t care… whatever you want!”
It's sweet that your friend cares about what you'd like to do or eat but you could ask them something as simple as, "Should we get Starbucks or Dunkin?" and they will struggle over an answer long enough for you to drive to the other side of the country and back.
It takes longer to pick a movie than it does to watch one.
Netflix was the best and worst thing to happen. Luckily, there are a million options. However, this is also its greatest downfall. You scroll through movie titles for so long that you end up just clicking on a random movie and hoping for the best.
If you want to go out to dinner you need to decide where you're going before you get hungry.
If you wait until you're hungry to bring up the idea of going out to eat, be prepared to starve because this decision consists of looking up menus, directions, and probably a new outfit.
Deciding on who to drive is a BIG deal.
No one ever really wants to drive, but will they ever tell you that? Nope. So get out a pen and paper so your friend can make a chart to calculate all the hours that everyone has driven and then the person who "technically" has driven less will be the one to drive that night.
"You pick!" is their catchphrase.
No matter what the decision is, they somehow always manage to have you decide. Even though you know you've made every decision for you two they always find a time when they half-made a decision and so it's now your turn to decide.
Shopping together is the worst.
You'll have arms full of clothes and they will too until you leave the dressing room and they changed their mind because they really didn't "need" anything. Like, I didn't need anything either but "wants" are a thing too!
They ask you a question, you answer it, and they ponder your answer.
Friend: "Do you think I should wear the green or the blue?"
You: "Blue, definitely!"
Friend: *thinks*
Friend: *thinks*
Friend: *thinks*
After many moments....
Friend: "Hmm.. I don't know... Maybe I'll do the green. What do you think?"
In the end, they most likely won't wear either and will just wear their go-to outfit.
Or, you ask them a question, and they answer you with the same question.
You: "Do you want to go out tonight?"
Friend: "I was just going to ask you the same thing!"
You: "So do you?"
Friend: "Well, do you?"
Dearest friend, if I ask if you want to do something, chances are I want to. If not, I wouldn't have asked!
They can't decide whether or not they're indecisive.
Seriously?
