The Importance of Team
Team is a very important aspect in life. Whether it be sports, theater or clubs. I have had the pleasure of being on my high school team and now have the opportunity to be on another team in college. Team is important for many reasons and here are some:
1. They are your second family. They are the people you eat family dinners with and the people you miss when you don’t see them for a long time. The people you want to tell about your day and celebrate your good times with.
2. They push you to succeed. You can only push yourself so hard. You need people alongside of you helping you improve whether they have more ability then you and trying to give you tips to succeed or helping you to expand your knowledge.
3. They know when there is something wrong. They will come to know you and when you are in a bad mood. They will have your back no matter what. They will not leave you alone until they know you are okay and double check to make sure.
4. They are your shoulder to cry on. They will be your therapy session, the people you go to first, the people who are willing to egg some one’s house if necessary. They are always on your side making sure that you will be okay in the end.
5. They are the reason you continue your sport. There are days when you just want to give up, whether it’s because of an injury or because you don’t know if you like the sport anymore. But you hold on for that little bit, you hold on to your team, and eventually realize that they are the reason you do this.
They are the people who let you know you are not in this alone. They are the memories you have of high school all the sports mixers, pasta parties, long days at practice, and the only people who understand your pain of balancing school and sports. They are the people who are help your transition so much easier into college, the people who you look forward to having dinner with, the people who let you know you will survive and come out stronger on the other end. The people who inspire you to become the best you can be.
