On June 30th, Imagine Dragons played Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. The crowd settled in for openers Halsey and Metric, the latter of which rocked so hard the crowd was on their feet. Once the openers finished their set, a curtain fell onstage.
The stadium lights dimmed. Smoke rose behind the curtain, then four shadows appeared: Imagine Dragons's silhouette. They opened with "Shots," to uproarious applause.
Imagine Dragons has spent the last 4 years rising to prominence, evidenced by the full house that night.
Imagine Dragons covered "Forever Young," segueing into "Smoke and Mirrors." Centering most of their energy on percussion, a large drum was brought onstage for the finale. It was a banger with, "I Bet My Life," followed by "Radioactive," a song which has arguably become their signature.
<span id="selection-marker-1" class="redactor-selection-marker"></span>They were right at home onstage, playing mostly from sophomore effort "Smoke and Mirrors" without leaving out their older songs, successfully including older fans with newer ones. Reynolds mentioned how grateful he was, to loud cheering. The Smoke and Mirrors Tour continues to trek across the States.
